It’s not just collectors and dealers who visit Gdad’s
-
Theatres
If you’re staging any kind of production set in the past, or have characters who are stuck in the past, why not pay a visit to Gdad’s? Our vast emporium has literally hundreds of vintage and retro pieces particularly from pre-, during and post-war Britain. A few original items can really create the mood you want.
-
TV programme makers
With so many TV programmes set in previous years, there’s always a big demand for period pieces – particularly British. That’s why at Gdad’s Collectable we are constantly refreshing our stock of vintage and antique furniture, glass, books, jewellery, textiles, clothing, bags and suitcases, dolls, dolls’ houses, toys and much more.
-
Film companies
Whatever the budget of your film, you want to make it stretch as far as possible. That’s why a few specially selected vintage and antique pieces are an excellent investment. They help create the mood and atmosphere of a particular time and place - at surprisingly affordable prices.

Event organisers
Got an event to organise perhaps for your family, yourself or your business? It would really come alive and create instant talking points with some carefully chosen period pieces from Gdad’s Collectables. If you want some ideas right now, browse around our online shop.
-
Wedding planners
Looking for really unusual pieces to decorate the tables at the wedding breakfast, or to adorn the reception room itself? Call in to Gdad’s Collectables. We’re sure to have something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue for the bride too!

Interior designers
The beauty of antique and vintage items is that they are supremely designed and superbly made to last. They are therefore perfect statement pieces in any design scheme. We often have some of the best antique names like Murano glass and stunning Clarice Cliff and Poole pottery, plus a good selection of mid-century items.
We’re regulars on TV too!
You might even have had a trip around our emporium and met some of our experienced traders already. That’s because we’re on TV so much we’re almost local celebrities! We’ve been on BBC’s Antiques Road Trip several times with famous antiques dealers and experts (and Bargain Hunt regulars) Raj Bisram, Charles Hanson and James Braxton having visited us recently. We also get quite a few enquiries to take part in other TV shows. Our tea and cakes are popular with the TV crews too!
